Dr. Joice Sophia Ponraj is the Director and ADI researcher of Centre for Advanced Materials. Joice is a recipient of DST INSPIRE Faculty Award and Marie-Curie CoFund. Her research interests includes synthesis and studies of 2D materials and semiconducting nanostructures for bionanophotonics; 2D based cancer therapeutics, micro/nano fabrication; graphene-2D wearable electronics and optoelectronics. Joice received Ph.D from Anna University, India. She was awarded three times ICTP-TRIL to work in IMEM-CNR, Parma, Italy, “Italian-Indian Bilateral Programme” hosted by University of Ferrara, Italy and AICTE-NDF, India during her PhD. She did post-doc in Suzhou University, China and served as Assistant Professor in UIST, North Macedonia and Bharathiar University, India.She has broad expertise in the fields of realization of 2D materials and semiconducting nanostructures; micro/nano fabrication of nanodevices; lithography and wafer bonding; nanostructures and 2D materials based sensors; sensing system and renewable energy storage; hybrid/coated graphene fibre based wearable electronics and optoelectronics.

Dr. Sathish Chander Dhanabalan is the Co-Director and ADI researcher of Centre for Advanced Materials. He was engaged as visiting researcher in College of Optoelectronics Engineering, Shenzhen University, China where he has completed his post-doctoral research. He is an expert in Materials Science and Engineering contributed mainly at the growth and studies of semiconducting nanostructures such as GaN, InN, InGaN, ZnO, InZnO, GaZnO, SnZnO, SiC and SiC/SiO2 core-shell. He was awarded the prestigious European Fellowship titled ‘Marie Curie Fellowship’ to work as Early Stage Researcher for three years in the European project FP7 MARIE CURIE ITN called ”Nanowiring” at Istituto Materiali per Elettronica e Magnetismo-Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche IMEM-CNR, Parma, Italy towards the award of PhD. His area of interests and expertise includes Semiconductor thin films/nanostructures, Graphene like 2D materials, Micro and Nano Devices, Nano-Photonics, Ultrafast Photonics Technology and Saturable Absorbers, Nano- sensors, Energy storages, Two-dimensional nanostructures for flexible and wearable devices for the emerging field of textronics and printable inks.
